United's capabilities are comprised of services and products supporting tactical and strategic solutions for Federal, State and Local Governments, and industry partners. We emphasize our participation beyond the "product only" because of our enterprise architecture and full-life-cycle approach to solutions. United's approach to become a trusted Customer partner is rewarded with successive awards from all military branches of DoD, various Intelligence Community agencies, and industry partners. Products

United has designed and manufactured hardware products for Customers for nearly two decades. United has delivered hardware solutions for data centers, operation centers, and mobile applications. Our mobile solutions, known as the OPTIA® brand, are comprehensive and have evolved into an Enterprise Tactical Suite of products for portable transit case and vehicle mount applications. Services

Our offering of services is "cradle to grave" from design to development to post-deployed support. Below is a description of the type of services we offer to our partners.

Engineering and Design and Prototyping

United has 20 years of design experience in custom hardware chassis and components. United provides consultation to the Customer in the areas of IT hardware design, deployment, use, and sustainment. Originating from Customer requirements and specifications, OPTIA® design parameters include physical dimensionality, processor types, memory, throughput, storage size and type. Customer workflow processes are identified, providing clear requirements on domain centric functionality. Customer site evaluations provide physical, environmental, technical process flows, and digital data use. Unique system environmental and facility considerations may include designs based on user requirements for footprint, space, temperature, air quality and durability. United's evaluation provides the Customer a workable IT option including specific design specifications that support Customer operations and sustainment. These design specifications are furnished to United-specified fabricators and suppliers, who provide the components, parts and sub-systems for the assembly and integration of OPTIA® prototypes and products.

Manufacturing

United manufactures and/or assembles electronic computers such as workstations, laptops, and servers in the United States at our Altoona Manufacturing Facility. We control the quality of components and assembly or integration of processors, co-processors, memory, storage, and input/output devices into a programmable final product. The logistical support of manufactured products by United includes assembled and spare component/parts for Customer maintenance needs and warranty. Once all Customer-directed services are completed, delivery of United products originates from the Altoona Manufacturing Facility utilizing Customer-preferred shipping services.

System Integration and Testing

United builds complete systems for clients by integrating and testing hardware and software products. Our testing includes both pre-integration sub-system testing and final post-integration testing. United integrates OPTIA® and other vendor components, introducing cost-effective, pre-configured components and off-the-shelf software and hardware to meet Customer requirements. United also develops system solutions by integrating OPTIA® components with legacy components and tools. United can design and integrate container, rack and transit-case solutions for immediate Customer utility.

Installation and Training

United provides on-site delivery and installation services. We ensure the installation is integrated with the existing IT infrastructure and configured for optimum and immediate utility. United also offers services to develop of training materials and provide on-site instruction to ensure successful operations and system utility.

Post-Fielding Support, Documentation, and Maintenance

United's support doesn't end with the delivery of a system. United provides services for our Customers that supports our troops, agents, analysts, officers and other end-users after the systems have been delivered and in use. We provide documentation for successful system setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and utility. In addition, United provides troubleshooting and warranty support with one-on-one correspondence through our toll-free phone line and email. United takes pride in our Customers using OPTIA® systems.
